Privacy Notice — Pilot Programme
This notice explains what Exploraise collects during its pilot, why, and the choices you have. It is provided by Greeker Labs (“Exploraise”, “we”, “us”). It forms part of, and should be read alongside, our Pilot Participation Agreement.
This is a pilot
Exploraise is currently in a pilot phase. A small number of families have been invited to use the product before it is publicly available. This notice applies specifically to pilot participants and differs from the production privacy notice in the following ways:
- Your data is retained for the duration of the pilot. So we can run, support, and improve the product during testing, we keep the data collected while you take part. When you delete a child or your account, we deactivate that data so it no longer appears anywhere in the product — but during the pilot we do not delete it outright. It is retained while the pilot runs.
- The pilot runs for a limited period and ends at our discretion. When it ends we will contact you about what happens to your data and, where the production product is available, give you the option to migrate to a production account. What happens to pilot data after the pilot is governed by the production privacy notice and its data-retention policy.
- This is a free pilot. There is no charge to participate. No payment data is collected.
In plain English
- We collect data from you and your child to generate a report and to understand how Exploraise works in practice during testing.
- Your child's session responses are private. You will never see them. Only synthesised insights appear in the report — never your child's or your own exact words.
- During the pilot, we retain the data we collect so we can run and improve the product. When you delete something, we deactivate it right away so it disappears from the product and is no longer used — we don't permanently delete data during the pilot.
- We do not sell your data or your child's data to anyone.
- A small number of trusted service providers process data on our behalf. We list them below.
- The pilot is free. No payment information is collected.
This summary is a reading aid. The full notice below is the operative document.
1. Who we are
Exploraise is a pre-counselling tool that helps families discover what their child is naturally good at, and what careers actually look like, so they can choose together with clarity, not pressure.
Company: Greeker Labs
Registered address: [address — to be inserted]
Contact for data matters:support@exploraise.com
2. Who this notice applies to
This notice applies to families participating in Exploraise's pilot programme. Pilot participants are parents or guardians of children aged 14–17 who have been invited to test Exploraise before public launch.
Children do not create their own Exploraise accounts. All account access is held by the parent or guardian, who provides verifiable consent before any child data is collected.
3. What data we collect and why
3.1 From the parent or guardian
| Data | Why we collect it |
|---|---|
| Name and email address | To create and manage your pilot account |
| Contact verification code | To sign you in securely without a stored password |
| Child's name, age, grade, and school board | To personalise the journey and report |
| Your session responses | To understand your child's strengths and context, as part of report generation |
| Notes you add before or after your session | To incorporate additional context into the report |
| Your record of consent — when you gave it, and the exact wording you agreed to | To evidence the parental consent we rely on to process your child's data (section 4) |
No payment data is collected during the pilot. Exploraise is free for pilot participants.
3.2 From the child
| Data | Why we collect it |
|---|---|
| Session responses | To understand your child's interests, how they think, and what matters to them — used solely to generate the report |
| Post-session notes | To incorporate any additional thoughts your child wanted to include |
Your child's session responses are never shared with you. They are used only to generate the synthesised insights in the report. The report is written from synthesised patterns only: our report-generation instructions explicitly prohibit reproducing your child's — or your own — verbatim words or direct quotes.
3.3 Generated data
| Data | Why it exists |
|---|---|
| The report | The primary output of Exploraise — synthesised insights and matched career options, shared with the parent |
| Scorecard | A record of strength patterns and career cluster matches generated from both sessions. Retained during the pilot and deactivated when you delete — see sections 8 and 9. |
3.4 Pilot feedback data
Providing feedback is part of the pilot. Because the purpose of the pilot is to test and improve the product, we collect feedback through in-product forms during your participation, and giving it is a required part of testing. After public launch, feedback will be optional. Feedback is used to improve Exploraise before public launch. Feedback responses are associated with your account during the pilot and are retained and handled on the same basis as your other pilot data.
3.5 Usage data
During the pilot we do not operate a usage- or error-logging store. We do not keep our own persistent logs of your activity, conduct behavioural profiling of users, or run behavioural analytics on pages used by children. Any transient operational records produced by our hosting provider in the ordinary course of serving the app are not collected into a log store that we keep or analyse.
4. Legal basis for processing
We process personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDPA) on the following bases:
- Consent — for collecting and processing data from you and your child to generate the report and to test and improve Exploraise during the pilot. You provide this consent at the Add a child step. Your child provides their own assent at the start of their session.
- Legitimate interests — for basic account management, security, and fraud prevention.
For data relating to your child, we rely on verifiable parental consent as the legal basis. You provide this consent explicitly and specifically for each child before their journey begins.
5. Purpose limitation
Data collected during the pilot is used for two stated purposes:
- To generate the report for your family
- To understand how Exploraise works in practice — what the product does well and where it needs improvement — so we can improve it before public launch
On scorecard data during the pilot: Scorecard data is retained during the pilot on the same basis as your other data (see sections 8 and 9). If, after the pilot, we wish to retain any anonymised scorecard data for product improvement beyond the pilot, we will seek fresh consent before doing so.
On the AI provider and AI model training: The AI-guided conversations and report generation are powered by Anthropic's Claude models, accessed through Anthropic's API. Anthropic does not use data submitted through its API — your inputs or the model's outputs — to train its models, and we do not use your personal data or your child's session responses to train AI models.
We are arranging a zero-data-retention (ZDR) agreement with Anthropic, under which prompts and responses are not stored by Anthropic after each response is returned. [ZDR arrangement to be confirmed in writing with Anthropic before the first pilot session] One exception applies even under ZDR: where content is flagged by Anthropic's automated trust-and-safety systems, Anthropic may retain the related inputs and outputs for up to two years, as set out in Anthropic's data-retention policy. Where no ZDR arrangement is in place, Anthropic applies its standard commercial retention policy to API data.
6. Who touches your data — sub-processors
| Sub-processor | Role | Data they touch | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Anthropic (Claude API) | Runs the AI-guided conversation sessions and generates the report | Session responses (parent and child), report generation | United States |
| Supabase | Stores all account and session data | All personal data | India |
| Resend | Sends transactional emails, including your child's session-link email | Parent name and email address; the child's email address you enter to send their session link | United States |
No payment processor is listed as this is a free pilot.
We do not sell data to any third party. Sub-processors are contractually required to protect data and use it only for the purposes we specify.
On your child's email address: When you send your child their session link, you enter their email address so we can deliver it. We do not store that address in our own systems — but our email delivery provider (Resend) processes it to send the message and may retain it in line with its own retention policy. Because we do not keep it, you re-enter the address if you resend the link.
Note on cross-border transfers: Where sub-processors are located outside India, data transfers are made under appropriate safeguards in compliance with DPDPA 2023. [to be detailed once sub-processors are confirmed before pilot launch]
7. Where data physically sits
All primary data storage is in India. [to be confirmed with the infrastructure provider before pilot launch]
8. How long we keep your data during the pilot
| Data type | Retention during pilot |
|---|---|
| Account data (name, email) | Retained for the duration of the pilot. Deleting your account deactivates it immediately; it is not permanently deleted during the pilot. |
| Child's profile (name, age, grade, board) | Retained for the duration of the pilot. Deleting the child deactivates it immediately; it is not permanently deleted during the pilot. |
| Session transcripts (parent and child) | Retained through pilot end; deactivated when you delete the related account or child. |
| Report | Retained through pilot end; deactivated when you delete the related account or child. |
| Notes (parent and child post-session) | Retained through pilot end; deactivated when you delete the related account or child. |
| Scorecard | Retained through pilot end; deactivated when you delete the related account or child. |
| Pilot feedback responses | Retained through pilot end; deactivated when you delete your account. |
At pilot end: The pilot ends at our discretion. When it ends we will contact you to confirm what happens to your data. Where the production product is available, you will be able to migrate to a production account under the production privacy notice. What happens to pilot data after the pilot is governed by the production privacy notice and its data-retention policy.
9. Deletion — what happens when you delete
You can delete a child's data at any time from Account settings → Children & data. To delete your entire account, contact us at support@exploraise.com.
During the pilot, deletion is a soft delete. When you delete a child or your account, we immediately deactivate the data so it no longer appears anywhere in the product — the child, their sessions, the report, and the scorecard all disappear from your account and can no longer be accessed. We do not, however, permanently delete the underlying data during the pilot; it is retained while the pilot runs (see section 8). Hard account deletion is not available during the pilot.
Deactivating a child or account applies to:
- The child's session transcript and all their responses
- Your session transcript about that child
- Your notes and the child's post-session notes
- The report
- The scorecard
- The child's profile (name, age, grade, board), including your record of consent for them
- Any feedback you provided
Why we retain rather than hard-delete during the pilot: the pilot is a testing phase, and retaining the underlying data lets us diagnose issues and improve the product across the test period. We do not permanently delete data during the pilot; how pilot data is handled afterwards is governed by the production privacy notice and its data-retention policy (see your rights in section 10). We will confirm a deletion request by email within [X business days].
10. Your rights under DPDPA 2023
- Right to access — request a summary of what data we hold
- Right to correction — correct inaccurate data via account settings or by contacting us
- Right to erasure — delete your data at any time as described in section 9. During the pilot this takes effect as a soft delete: your data is deactivated immediately so it is no longer used or accessible. We do not permanently delete data during the pilot; any permanent erasure is handled under the production privacy notice and its data-retention policy after the pilot.
- Right to withdraw consent — withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal means we can no longer provide the service for that child; their data is deactivated immediately so it is no longer used or accessible, and is handled thereafter as described in section 9 (during the pilot this is a soft delete).
- Right to grievance redressal — raise a complaint with us and, if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India once operational
Contact: support@exploraise.com. We will respond within 30 days.
11. Data security
We apply the same security measures in the pilot as we will in production:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS)
- Encryption of data at rest
- Access controls limiting who within our team can access personal data
- Regular security reviews
The pilot involves a small number of families. Access to pilot data is restricted to named members of the Exploraise team.
12. Safeguarding
Exploraise has basic safeguarding in place for the pilot. If your child shares something during their session that suggests they may be at risk — including disclosures of self-harm or a dangerous situation — Exploraise's AI is instructed to respond with a calm, supportive message and to point them to a relevant helpline (in India, the child helpline on 1098). It does not assess, rank, or act on what is shared, and it does not escalate or report it. More comprehensive safeguarding processes are being developed and are deferred to after the pilot.
We will not share the content of your child's session with you. The privacy promise made to your child is maintained.
On human review: the report is generated automatically and is not reviewed by a person before it reaches you. Separately, our internal team may review conversations and reports for analysis and to improve the product. This internal review is for product improvement only; your child's session content is still never shared with you.
If you have concerns about your child's wellbeing, please speak with them directly or contact a qualified professional.
13. Pilot feedback and improvement
As a pilot participant, you will be asked for feedback through in-product forms as part of the testing process. Because the purpose of the pilot is to test and improve the product, providing this feedback is a required part of participation during the pilot. After public launch, feedback will be optional.
We may also reach out by email to ask follow-up questions about your experience. Participation in email follow-up is optional.
14. Changes to this notice
We will notify you by email of any material changes to this notice during the pilot. Given the short pilot duration, we aim to keep changes minimal.
